Stage 1: Membership

To join RBIEX, the prospective member must complete and return the RBIEX Membership Agreement. This document sets out the basic membership obligations.

Stage 2: Connection

At this point, the member should e-mail operations [at] rbiex (dot) net requesting a port location. This where the member's dues will be decided. The member must then request from the Data Centre the connecting cable to be run. (In some facilities promotional pricing applies, so please quote RBIEX in the request.)

Stage 3 (a): Joining the MLP

In order to peer with other RBIEX members, the new member must sign and return the MLPA (Multi-Lateral Peering Agreement). All designated contacts will be added to the members mailing list, a very low traffic private list to assist with diagnostics and general membership matters.

Stage 3 (b): Joining the Transit Community

Providers can choose to join RBIEX as a Transit Supplier only, this allows you to sell your IP Transit across the RBIEX core network. To do this the new member must sign and return the Transit Supply Agreement. After this is received the new member must register all transit provisions in the RBIEX registry.
